The city is connected well with the national highways A9 and A70. The city is also well connected to railway network. The nearest airport is situated at Nuremberg. You can also travel to the city by coaches from Nuremberg.

The city located in the Red River valley is situated at an elevation of 340m and has a population of 74,000 spread over an area of 67square km. The city is divided into 39 different districts.

The city is well connected by taxis that ply on the city roads and also by local buses that pass through almost all major parts of the city. You can also hire bicycles to get around the town.

The city has quite a number of places to visit. The museums here provide you a glimpse of life that was lived in the past, The New Castle of Margraves and the Margraves opera house built in 18th century.
