Getting to Baltimore
Baltimore-Washington International Airport is the aviation gateway to Maryland and Washington DC. With Southwest offering low fares, it is the airport of choice for passengers to and from Virginia, Delaware and Pennsylvania, including the Philadelphia area. SuperShuttle, Airport Shuttle, MARC trains, and Light Rail regularly service the airport. There is also an Amtrak connection to the citys main train station.
Penn Station, the city's railway station, is a mile north of downtown. Here you can catch Amtrak trains to major cities in the US as well as Marc trains to local destinations.
The Greyhound terminal is three blocks west of downtown with regular services to Washington DC, New York City, Philadelphia and other major cities and towns.
Baltimore is a convenient city to drive to. The Interstate 95 connects the airport to the centre of the city. You can enter Downtown easily from the west on I-70. Maryland State has an excellent road network and makes for pleasant driving.
