Car Hire in Atlantic City - Getting to Atlantic City
Atlantic City is close to some of the northeast Atlantic states’ largest cities, making it extremely easy to access. The airport is 16kms from downtown and mainly services domestic flights. Shuttle buses from the airport drop you off at your hotel door, and taxis and rental cars are also available. Most international visitors will arrive via Philadelphia International Airport, Newark International or New York’s John F Kennedy, which offer direct transatlantic flights as well as flights from Canada and the Caribbean.
By road, the Atlantic City Expressway is connected to State Road 42, which in turn is connected to I-76, leading to Philadelphia. The Atlantic City Expressway is connected to New York via the Garden State Parkway and I-95.
There are frequent train services to Atlantic City, and most casinos can be accessed directly from the train station via shuttle bus.
Buses are plentiful and some casinos offer direct charters to their front doors from nearby major cities. The buses often include incentives like free meals or some gambling chips to get you started.
