Car Rental Almeria Airport - Transportation to and From Almeria Airport

Situated just eight kilometres from Almeria city centre, Almeria Airport is easily accessed by both private and public transportation. The airport can be reached from Almeria via the N-344 motorway, which is a dual carriageway. The airport turn off is found at kilometre nine. From here, the single carriageway road continues to Nijar. There are also access roads from the Autovia del Mediterraneo E-15 (N-340 motorway).

Buses connecting the airport with local destinations around the city arrive and leave from outside the terminal building. From Monday to Friday from 07:00 they leave Calle Doctor Gregorio Maranon (Almeria city centre) at either 30- or 45-minute intervals, with the last services at 21:30 and 22:30. Buses leave the airport from 07:22, with the last services at 21:07 and 22:08. There are reduced services on Saturdays and Sundays. Current timetables are available from the information desk. Taxis depart from outside the terminal building 24 hours a day and run to central Porto and other locations along the coast.

There are two car parks, with the main one located directly opposite the terminal building and suitable for short-term parking. Long-term parking is provided by a second car park located behind the short-term car park. There is a pick-up and drop-off area right outside the terminal entrance, and assistance is available for the mobility impaired.
