The 80th Geneva Motor Show takes place from 4-14 March this year and the manufacturers are lining up to show off their latest offerings. Beleaguered Toyota is hoping to draw attention away from its accelerator and braking woes with the world premiere of the production-ready Auris HSD (Hybrid Synergy Drive). This model marks a milestone in the company’s programme to introduce its full hybrid powertrain technology across its entire model range by the early 2020s, though whether its current problems and admission of having ‘grown too quickly’ will affect the timescale remains to be seen.
