1. At the car wash

January 31, 2011 by Dave Duttson

Now I don’t know about you but I’m a bit rubbish at keeping my car clean. It’s not helped by the fact that every time I’ve been to my local car wash recently the wretched thing hasn’t been working. I’d drive past on other occasions when I hadn’t got time, and I’d see it was functioning properly. But every time I went to pay after filling up and asked if it was up and running Read more…

  2. Return of the Ferrari Breadvan

January 24, 2011 by Dave Duttson

In 1962 an Italian engineer named Giotto Bizzarrini (say it a few times, it sounds so good) developed a version of the highly-successful Ferrari 250 SWB car to compete at that year’s 24 hours of Le Mans race. The cynic in me wonders whether this is just a way for the car manufacturers to be seen to doing something, even if they didn’t believe it would provide a long-term solution to reducing carbon emissions from cars. However, with the news that Renault has suspended three of its senior Read more…

  5. All change in F1

January 4, 2011 by Malcom Evans

Just before Christmas the governing body of motorsport, the FIA, announced a raft of changes to the rules for Formula One racing. For a start, this year the controversial rule about ‘no team orders’ is being dropped. The rule meant that a team couldn’t tell a driver to let his team-mate past and Ferrari were fined this year for doing so with Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso at the German Grand Prix when Massa’s race Read more…
