    Not life-size.

There’s been a lot happening in the F1 world over the last few weeks. Everything is beginning to slip into place for next season and the new teams which will be joining the grid are finalising their plans and announcing their drivers. With one notable exception, that is. After some speculation as to whether Renault would continue in the sport or not, the team has finally announced that it will be on the 2010 grid Read more…

  2. Low Speed Accidents

If you smell burning, get out of the car

Yesterday was a seriously bad day. I made the mistake of going to a local town to do some Christmas shopping. Of course, when I got there the world and his dog had decided to do the same, so finding a parking space was challenging to say the least (well, it could’ve been worse, I could’ve been in Basingstoke). The usual car park I use was full so I went a bit further down the Read more…

  3. Cars in Classic Film & TV Scenes: Which Are Worth the Most Now?

December 7, 2009 by Dave Duttson

After months of speculation, Silverstone Circuits announced this morning that it had reached an agreement with Bernie Ecclestone to host the British Formula One Grand Prix from 2010 onwards. The race was scheduled to take place at Donington Park in Leicestershire, but after the owners failed to secure the necessary funding for the redevelopment work required it looked as if Britain might be without a Formula One Grand Prix for the first time since 1950. December 4, 2009 by Dave Duttson

There’s less than a month to go before Christmas now so it’s time to start making your lists of what you’re going to buy your favourite petrolhead as a present. Or, if you’re the petrolhead, it’s time to start dropping hints about what you want so you don’t end up with the proverbial pair of Christmas socks that play Jingle Bells. I always think that Christmas is a time for sitting down and relaxing in Read more…

  7. How to avoid rental nightmares

December 1, 2009 by Dave Duttson

Type ‘car rental nightmares’ into Google and you’ll be inundated with stories from people who have been charged for insurance they didn’t want, or damage they didn’t cause and vow never to use a certain company or companies again. One person was even forced to pay for an upgrade because the company didn’t have the car that they had pre-booked! But there are ways to help reduce the risk of becoming another frustrated blogger eager Read more…
