When summer finally arrives some humans get the travelling bug; a yearning in their guts to be out in the wild, hitting the open road and at one with nature. This typically means jumping into the car or van and getting stuck in a hour or so of traffic until you finally reach your destination. If this something that appeals to you, then imagine being trapped in a long line of traffic pulling or driving the most stunning mobile home or caravan on the planet.

Shown at the Tokyo Motor Show, it is a mobile home office on wheels. It has a high resolution flat screen, seats that swivel around to create a meeting space.

You can detach the car from the mobile home, so that a family can go off and explore the local area, or for dad to pop to the local village to grab milk and bread buns while mum rustles up some hot dogs.

The original was created by designer Hawley Bowlus in 1930 and these modern airstreams have not lost any of the 1930′s charm or design style. An interesting piece of information about the Airstream is that when the Apollo 11 astronauts returned to earth in 1969, they were quarantined inside one.
